I chose Emory EM because I wanted to train in an area with a racially and culturally diverse patient population, including those underserved in medicine. Emory offers opportunities and resources for residents' various professional interests, so I know I will be supported in pursuing my interests in addiction medicine, toxicology, and global health. During my away rotation at Emory, I fell in love with the compassion and integrity displayed by faculty and staff I worked with.Interest within EM?

5- year plan
I hope to have completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine or Toxicology, with plans to begin a career in Academic Medicine. I would also like to dedicate a portion of my time to go back to Zimbabwe and partner with local healthcare professionals to improve emergency care services.
