Transit and Biking

Alternative transportation options are strongly encouraged, via support and incentives, by Emory Transportation and Parking Services.

Emory University is served by MARTA, Atlanta's public transportation system, as well as a free campus and park-and-ride shuttle system called Cliff. Biking is also a viable option at Emory, with bike racks plentiful throughout campus and a strong bike support organization.

Public Transportation: MARTA

The School of Medicine is directly served by MARTA Bus Route 6, which runs between Lindbergh Center Station and Inman Park - Reynoldstown Station. In addition, Route 36 also runs through the Emory campus, although relative to the medical school the nearest stop is approximately half a mile down Clifton Rd.

Directions to the School of Medicine - Route 6

From Lindbergh Station

Ride any train Northbound to Lindbergh MARTA station. Exit station (being sure to "tap out" your card at the turnstile, which grants a bus transfer) and hop on the Route 6 bus. It leaves approximately every 30 minutes. Ask the bus driver to let you off at the stop for Emory University Hospital. When you exit, the school will be the building closest to you.

Inman Park - Reynoldstown Station

Take the Route 6 Emory bus from the northern (Inman Park) bus bay at Inman Park - Reynoldstown MARTA station. Exit station (being sure to "tap out" your card at the turnstile, which grants a bus transfer) and get on the bus. It leaves approximately every 30 minutes. Ask the bus driver to let you off at the stop for Emory University Hospital / Emory Clinic. When you exit, the school will be across the street, to the right of Woodruff Circle, where all the buses are pulling in and out.

Directions to the School of Medicine - Route 36

From Decatur Station

Take the 36 North Decatur Rd. / Virginia Highland bus from the bus bay at Decatur Station and ride to Clifton Road. Ask the bus driver to let you off on the corner of North Decatur and Clifton. To reach the School of Medicine, walk down Clifton Road about a half a mile, past the hospital (on your left) and Woodruff Circle, where campus buses are coming in and on. The school is on Clifton Rd. facing toward Woodruff Circle, with a lawn in front.

From Midtown Station
