The cardiothoracic surgery service at Grady Memorial Hospital is a component of Grady's multidisciplinary cardiac clinic, which provides comprehensive care for all types of cardiac conditions and diseases.

Overview

The clinic's diverse team of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and other highly trained clinicians treat such conditions as coronary artery disease, thoracic aortic diseases, atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disturbances, heart failure, and adult congenital heart disease.

Division Chief Brent Keeling

Brent Keeling, MD, an assistant professor of surgery of the Department of Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine, is the chief of the cardiothoracic surgery service at Grady.

Dr. Keeling's particular clinical specialties include aortic pathophysiology and surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), hybrid coronary revascularization, and surgical pulmonary embolectomy. His research focuses on targeted clinical investigations of adult cardiac surgical sub-populations.
