Education and Training

We are training the next generation of leaders in our field by offering residency programs for physicians and medical physicists, and training programs for dosimetrists and radiation therapists.

Physician Residency

The Emory Radiation Oncology Physician Residency Program is a four-year graduate medical education program preparing residents for certifying radiation oncology examinations given by the American Board of Radiology.

Medical Physics Residency

Emory's Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Residency Program is a three-year training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP).

Medical Physics Certificate

The Emory University Certificate Program in Medical Physics is a two-year CAMPEP-accredited didactic training program developed and maintained within the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dosimetry Training

The Emory Department of Radiation Oncology collaborates with Southern Illinois University Carbondale Masters of Medical Dosimetry program to offer a diverse experience in both didactic and clinical aspects of radiation oncology.

Radiation Therapy Training

Through an affiliation with Grady School of Radiation Therapy, the Department of Radiaiton Oncology provides future radiation therapists with on-site clinical training towards eligibility for certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
