Emory University School of Medicine Pediatric Neurology participates in the Match and is now accomplished through the NRMP. Applications are accepted through the ERAS application service.

Five-year Categorical Training Program
Three categorical slots are available each year allowing Pediatric Neurology residents to also complete their preliminary General Pediatrics training at Emory University School of Medicine. Applicants need only apply to Pediatric Neurology via ERAS for consideration for the five year categorical training program (SEPARATE APPLICATION TO GENERAL PEDIATRICS IS NOT REQUIRED: An interview with General Pediatrics will automatically be granted to those selected to interview for Child Neurology).

Interview Trip:
The Pediatric Neurology Residency Program and Pediatric Residency Program will provide accommodations for one night during the interview trip. Dinner will be provided on the evening before interviews and breakfast & lunch on the day of interview. There is an optional general pediatric dinner the evening after the interviews.
Each applicant will typically interview with two pediatric neurology faculty members and the residency program director.

IMG’s seeking appointment to a residency position must be certified by the ECFMG and enter the training program on a J-1 or H-1B1 visa, unless a citizen of the United States or holding an Alien Registration Card. Benefits
Salaries are competitive and congruent with postgraduate training experience. Further information regarding benefits, malpractice, moonlighting and other policies is available from the Office of Graduate Medical Education. In addition to the benefits provided by Emory University School of Medicine, the Department of Neurology provides discretionary funds for each resident for the purchase of textbooks and other educational materials, and to cover meeting-related travel expenses. The department also covers the cost of membership in the American Academy of Neurology for each resident, and provides several additional benefits, including a subscription to the journals Neurology and Continuum. In addition to the paid vacation provided by the university, the Division of Neurology provides an additional week of academic leave time annually to allow for resident participation in meetings and other scholarly activities.
