Why Emory EM?
For many, many reasons! Emory EM offered me all that I wanted in a residency: A county program that provided for a diverse, medically underserved patient population, exposure to a variety of pathology and hospital environments, fellow residents who would support each other's learning and growth, attendings who would challenge and guide me to becoming a skilled EM physician, and faculty and staff who cared for their patients with genuine integrity and compassion. These are only a few of the many reasons Emory EM was the right choice for me, and I am humbled to be able to learn from and serve the communities of Atlanta!
Interest within EM?
Ultrasound and Global Health
5- year plan
I plan to do fellowships in ultrasound and global health. Afterward, I'd like to work at a county teaching hospital where I have the opportunity to teach ultrasound around the world and to students, residents, and local physicians.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in Emergency Medicine?
I'd want to be a wildlife ranger in South Africa or a photo journalist traveling around the world (not that I have skills with either animals or photography outside of owning a cat and a camera)
What would your superpower be?
That I can communicate in any and every language!
