Why Emory EM?
I wanted to be at a county and safety net program that has shown consistent dedication to serving its community through high quality clinical care, as well as through service and outreach, and there is no place better for that than at Grady and Emory. The mission here to serve, especially underserved and marginalized communities in Atlanta, is unmatched anywhere else, and it's easy to sense that everyone here embodies that mission. It's extremely humbling to have matched at Emory EM, and I am so honored for the opportunity to work with, care for, and learn from a diverse group of patients, faculty, co-residents, and other colleagues.

5- year plan
To become the best EM doc I can be (maybe with a fellowship, maybe not), keep learning every day, and ultimately serve and advocate for my community.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in Emergency Medicine?
Within medicine, I'd be in peds. Outside of medicine, I'd be working in wildlife conservation, following in the footsteps of Steve Irwin.
Fun Fact
During college and med school, I was a trained wildlife courier. I used to get sent out on calls to pick-up injured wild animals in my car and transport them to wildlife rehab centers.
What would your superpower be?
To always be fully rested without having to actually sleep
