We are living at a unique time in biomedical history, with unparalleled opportunities to advance biomedical knowledge and translate it to the clinical setting. Seizing these opportunities requires a relentless focus on connectivity-across missions, departments, specialties, and institutions. We aim to do no less than re-imagine medicine.

Shared Values
This Innovation Driver (A – F) framework represents our shared core values. This is how we evaluate the strategies and initiatives outlined in our planning process.
As we generate new ideas, we commit to evaluating them against this framework by asking the following questions:
- Acceleration: Will this accelerate discovery and innovation? We need to trade reticence for action, for piloting, for moving faster.
- Bold: Is this bold enough to fulfill our goal of eminence? We want to aim for cures, not palliation.
- Connectivity: Does this create opportunities for connectivity, and more importantly, for synergy?
- Data-Driven: Can this be supported by data-driven evidence?
- Engagement & Inclusion: Core to everything we do are our people — does this encourage and enhance a culture and community of engagement and inclusion? (Which to us means mutual respect underlying everything we do.)
- Fun: Is this fun?
