The Emory University School of Medicine and Emory Radiology support the advancement of all faculty. In addition to the traditional academic tenure process, there also is academic promotion for faculty without tenure. One-on-one promotion readiness coaching sessions, the Promotion Workshop Series, Promotion Packet classes, administrative support and more are offered to support faculty through the promotion process.

Timelines and Process Overview
How do you know if you're on track for promotion? The following timelines and suggested progress milestones can help faculty members stay on track for success.

Departmental Resources
Promotions Consultants
Emory Radiology offers a Promotions Consultants program. The goal of the Promotions Consultants program is to provide tailored advice to faculty to prepare them for promotion and to demystify the process. Faculty members who have successfully gone through the promotions process at Emory before serve as consultants to review your CV, answer questions, and provide guidance and support.
Feel free to schedule time with a promotions consultant to get your questions answered and to set yourself up for success.
The department has a dedicated program coordinator who will serve as your point of contact and will work one-on-one with you to aid you with completing your promotions packet.
