Maria Piraner
Overview
Dr. Piraner specializes in breast Imaging. She played a vital role in designing the Center for Breast Care at Johns Creek. Her interests include sonography, women's imaging, and quality control/improvement. Dr. Piraner enjoys teaching.
She completed the Young Faculty Development Course sponsored by the School of Medicine and has achieved the clinical distinction of Eminent Physician. Dr. Piraner serves on multiple committees including Ultrasound Quality, Practice Quality Improvement, and Professional Practice Evaluation. Recent projects include streamlining workflow, decreasing turnaround times, increasing patient satisfaction, and cutting waste/costs.
