Since its inception, the Emory Research Group in Otolaryngology (ERGO) has provided a central resource for the research efforts of the department across campuses.

ERGO Has a Two-Fold Mission:

  1. To promote innovative, practice-changing research in the field of otolaryngology by faculty, residents, medical students, and staff at Emory University.

  2. To establish the Emory Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as a nationally recognized leader in clinical research conception and execution.

  • ERGO's Active Grants

  • ERGO's Research Projects

  • ERGO Minority Student Mentoring Clerkship Program

ERGO meetings occur quarterly to provide a discussion forum for future and completed research projects, and for faculty to provide didactics on clinical research skills. Quarterly Otolaryngology Grand Rounds are also dedicated to ERGO topics.
