DOM New Faculty Orientation is held annually in the fall. This is a chance for new hires to meet our leadership, learn about teaching, research and patient care opportunities, and receive useful reference information.

- DOM Communications and Marketing Tools: The Department of Medicine follows branding guidelines set forth by the School of Medicine and Emory University. We have developed a set of resources, including templates, best practices and more, for faculty and staff to use to enhance communications and marketing efforts throughout the department.

- Canvas Learning Management Systems: All Emory courses have an associated site on Canvas which can be leveraged for many learning activities, including sharing resources, delivering assessments, facilitating online discussions, and grading.
- Zoom Web and Video Conferencing: Zoom is the Emory approved web and video conferencing service that offers online meetings and webinars. Features include polling, breakout rooms, instant messaging, and a wide variety of audio options.

- Mentoring Program: Mentoring options designed to meet the needs for our diverse faculty. We offer one-on-one mentoring, quarterly mentoring videos, and a consult program. Your divisional mentoring facilitator will contact you within six months of your start date to discuss your career goals and offer any mentoring assistance needed, including help with finding a mentor.
- EmoryFIRST: Your Web Profile: All faculty are encouraged to create and maintain their faculty website profiles through the EmoryFIRST tool. Visit and log in using your Emory University NetID and password. Please make sure you are logged out of all Emory Healthcare applications prior to trying to log in to EmoryFIRST.
