Michael McDaniel MD
Overview
Dr. Michael McDaniel is assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiology, Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. McDaniel led the effort to build a new treatment program at Grady Health System for the most dangerous form of heart attacks, known as STEMIs, in which the coronary artery is completely blocked and patients are at the highest risk for cardiac arrest.

Focus
- My research during cardiology fellowship has been focused on the use of invasive anatomic and physiologic adjuncts to angiography in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (intracoronary velocity, pressure, ultrasound, virtual histology, shear stress and strain assessment) to investigate the focal development and progression of atherosclerosis.
