The Vascular Medicine Fellowship Program provides training to physicians in the comprehensive field of vascular medicine, including the evaluation, diagnosis and management of common and unusual vascular diseases. This one-year program includes rotations in cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, hematology, vascular surgery, and wound care. Throughout the year, fellows learn vascular ultrasound via hands-on scanning and interpretation of studies. Following this one-year fellowship, trainees are eligible and prepared to sit for the American Board of Vascular Medicine (ABVM) and Registered Physicians’ Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) examinations.
Emory University Hospital System is a large, academic tertiary care center, attracting patients from throughout the Southeast. Our program incorporates multiple hospital settings, exposing fellows to diverse patient populations and disease pathology. In addition to clinical duties, fellows will be encouraged to participate in scholarly activity including research and education throughout the year.
