Emory's Adult Congenital Heart Center is one of the largest adult congenital heart programs in North America with more than 2,000 outpatient visits and 100 cardiac surgeries a year. The center includes six cardiologists and two cardiac surgeons with additional expert support from world-renowned interventional/structural, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure teams.
The Congenital Heart Fellowship Program provides trainee with a wide spectrum of outpatient and inpatient experiences to include cardiac imaging, catheter-based diagnostics and interventions, electrophysiology, critical care, advanced heart failure management/transplantation evaluation, cardiac and non-cardiac surgeries, cardiac anesthesia, pulmonary hypertension, pregnancy in heart disease, and contraception/family planning.
Program Details
- Emory's Adult Congenital Heart Fellowship is a two year program
- Applicants must have completed an adult and/or pediatric cardiovascular disease fellowship before the anticipated start date
- US citizens or permanent residents may apply
- The program fulfills ABIM requirements for adult congenital disease subspecialty training
- Program graduates will be eligible to sit for the ABIM subspecialty examination in congenital heart diseases
