Isida Byku
Overview
Dr. Byku attended Dowling College for undergraduate studies and received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She completed internship and residency training in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins hospital, followed by general cardiology training at the University of Chicago. She then came to Emory for a 2 year advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology and structural heart and valve disease, upon completion of which she joined as faculty.
Dr. Byku's areas of expertise include coronary intervention and transcatheter therapies for treatment of structural heart and valve disease.
Dr. Byku believes in engaging in shared decision making with patients, and empowering every individual to optimize their cardiovascular health via both invasive and non-invasive means.
She is passionate about the rapid advancements in the field of transcatheter treatment for structural heart and valve disease and is enthusiastic to be a member of the cutting edge team at Emory.
