The Wellness Program of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology promotes the well-being of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, staff and administration through attention to systemic, cultural, and individual domains.
Our Commitment
We strive to create a supportive environment conducive to social connectedness where care team members can find meaning in their work by identifying and addressing opportunities in the work place and in the work flow to enhance job satisfaction and minimize burnout.
Our Goals
Our program goals are to:
- Enhance attention to individual well-being through strategic programming.
- Promote wellness via targeted team support.
- Improve awareness and access to resources available to faculty and staff at Emory.
- Identify and address structural barriers to wellness via active querying (needs assessment).
- Initiate and collect data on value added for wellness activities with intent towards publication and presentation at national meetings.
