The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is expanding its faculty and broadly recruiting in bacteriology, immunology, and virology. We seek applicants at all levels with outstanding research programs. Areas of interest include infection and cancer, host/pathogen interactions, HIV/AIDS, emerging pathogens, cancer immunology, and autoimmunity. We are particularly interested in applicants with a translational focus and have an established funded research program. Applicants will be expected to establish their research program in the outstanding environment of our disease-focused Centers, particularly the Center for AIDS Research and the NCI-designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent, and should be able to effectively contribute to both the research and the teaching missions of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Quality research facilities, significant start-up funds, and salary support will be provided commensurate with the rank. The Department of Medical Education at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso – Paul L. Foster School of Medicine offers an exceptional opportunity for microbiologist and/or immunologist to join our interdisciplinary team of full-time faculty. The successful candidate will work with fellow basic and clinical science educators to develop and deliver a highly integrated clinical presentation-based medical curriculum. This individual will also engage in research and service activities based on individual interests, credentials and experience.
The Department of Medical Education houses a number of state-of-the art educational spaces, including a 5000 square-foot gross anatomy lab and 2700 square-foot molecular and cell biology lab for teaching and faculty-mentored student research experiences. Access to additional instrumentation and collaborative research expertise is granted through four centers of research emphasis (Cancer, Diabetes & Metabolism, Infectious Diseases, and Neuroscience) located in the adjacent Department of Molecular and Translational Medicine.

The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Regular/In Residence Series) in Microbiome Sciences, including the role of microbiome in human health and disease, microbial metabolism, microbiome ecology, interaction of mucosal pathogens with host-associated microbial communities, metagenomics, antimicrobial resistance, microbiome changes and implications in viral, bacterial, parasitic and fungal infections.
The successful candidate is expected to develop a funded research program in microbiome sciences. In addition, the candidate is expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial and collaborative team atmosphere, and strong commitment to contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion. The candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree with postdoctoral experience and a record of excellent research publications at time of appointment. The successful candidate will have experience in basic, translational and/or collaborative research in areas that integrate well with the research strengths our department and related programs at our University.

Tenure Track Virology Faculty Position at Cornell University
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University invites applications from scientists focused on Cellular and Molecular Virology for a tenure-track position. We seek an outstanding investigator who brings innovation to the study of viruses of animals and humans. Research interests may include viral pathogenesis, virus/host interplay, zoonoses and emerging threats, immune responses to viral infection, host-directed therapeutics, and next generation vaccine design. While our focus is primarily at the Assistant or early Associate Professor levels, other ranks will be considered.

The Mousa Laboratory at the University of Georgia (UGA) Center for Vaccines and Immunology (CVI) in Athens, GA is seeking TWO creative and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellows to drive forward research projects focused on monoclonal antibody therapies and epitope-focused vaccine design. These are multidisciplinary projects with enormous training opportunity in human immunology, virology, bacteriology, animal models of infection, and structural biology, including X-ray crystallography and cryo- electron microscopy. The Mousa Laboratory studies monoclonal antibodies as therapeutics and to inform vaccine design.
