Our Commitment

Emory University Department of Dermatology is committed to serving all of Atlanta's communities with a compassionate, diverse workforce of trainees and clinicians to best diagnose and treat skin disorders, including those skin problems that disproportionately affect underserved populations. Many members of our department meet regularly to further these missions; we are motivated by diverse patient populations we serve at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, The Emory Clinic, the Veterans Administration Hospital, Grady Health System and Arthur M. Blank Hospital (Children's Hospital).
We currently have multiple ongoing research projects in the department that investigate the delivery of high-quality care to all patient populations. Our goal is to advance medical knowledge and therapeutic options, providing the highest quality clinical care.
Training the next generation of dermatologists is the utmost importance to our department. We seek trainees with unique perspectives and interests. Our residency application review process is designed to be holistic. Medical student and residency curricula integrate unconscious biases as well as cultural humility. Residents are integral to our mission of serving underserved populations through their volunteer work at Shifa Clinic, Morehouse HEAL Clinic and Clarkson Clinic.
Our department is actively involved in institutional level efforts. We are honored to serve Atlanta and would be happy to share more with you.
