How Your Donation Helps
By making a donation to the PARTNERS for Equity in Child and Adolescent Health, you are contributing to a healthy future for Georgia’s children.
- School-based health clinics improve health outcomes by increasing access and providing multidisciplinary health care to underserved populations.
- Primary care is the foundation of quality health care for children, especially the underserved. An effective medical home addresses the inter-related health, cognitive and psychosocial challenges that at-risk children face.
- Education is a direct predictor of health. Our pediatricians address children’s cognitive and academic development to maximize their health outcomes.
- Pediatricians in their early phase of training benefit from education in the social determinants of health and healthcare delivery from a public health perspective.
Giving
The PARTNERS for Equity in Child and Adolescent Health of the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of Georgia’s underserved children by:- Expanding the number of school-based health clinics in Georgia (urban and rural areas);
- Creating a family-centered model for comprehensive primary care services for at-risk children;
- Developing innovative programs that link healthcare, education, and community services; and
- Training future pediatricians to provide medical care that addresses the social determinants of health.
We are serving the children of Georgia through our alliances with the School Based Health Alliance; Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding; the Reach Out and Read Program; the Health Law Partnership; and the Childhood Injury Prevention Program.
