The Atlanta clinical research site (CRS) provides major contributions to MWCCS due to its location in the epicenter of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, its partnership with Grady Health System, and the active engagement of scientists from the Emory University School of Medicine, Emory Rollins School of Public Health, Emory Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Emory Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), Emory National Primate Research Center, and the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute in the MWCCS science.
The Atlanta CRS is located at the Ponce De Leon Center, where enrolled participants are seen and evaluated during study-related visits. The Ponce De Leon Center is one of the largest, most comprehensive facilities dedicated to the treatment of HIV/AIDS in the US.
