Emory University Hospital is a 587-bed facility specializing in the care of the acutely ill adult. Staffed exclusively by the School of Medicine faculty who also are members of The Emory Clinic, the hospital is renowned as one of the nation's leaders in cardiology and cardiac surgery, oncology, transplantation, and the neurosciences. Our mission is to provide excellence in patient care, enhanced by education and research.
Today, more than 24,000 inpatients and more than 80,000 outpatients from all over the world come to our hospital each year to receive highly specialized medical and surgical care.
Emory University Hospital also provides inpatient hospice services in its 6-bed hospice unit which is staffed by Emory Palliative Medicine physician faculty, Emory staff nurses, and hospice staff from our community hospice partners.
