Biochemistry is pleased to welcome Blerta Xhemalçe, PhD, who will join the department September 2024 as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry. Her new lab will be located on the 4th floor of the Rollins Research Center.

Cell Biology is pleased to welcome Michael Deans, PhD, who will join us January 2025 as an Associate Professor of Cell Biology. His new lab will be located on the 5th floor of WBRB.

Pharmacology and Chemical Biology Research in HSRB II: Inside the Lab of Dr. Yong Wan

HSRB-II is home to the lab of Yong Wan, PhD, a SOM Endowed Professor at the School of Medicine and the Director of the Glenn Family Breast Center for Basic Research. The Wan Lab, among the first to utilize the state-of-the-art facilities at the Health Science Research Building (HSRB) II, is currently conducting cutting-edge patient-centered basic and translational studies for cancer therapy.
