Focus

My recent focus has been the improvement of treatment and health outcomes for individuals with Thalassemia and other nonmalignant hematological disorders. I direct the 7th largest Thalassemia Comprehensive Treatment Center and the only one in the Southeast. In that role, I contribute to the design and implementation of multicenter trials sponsored by the NIH/NHLBI, CDC, etc.
