Every year, the fellows from the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine select a faculty member to receive the James R. Eckman Teaching Award, which recognizes excellence in teaching.
About the Eckman Award
Established in 2002, the annual award honors James R. Eckman, MD, for his relentless dedication to teaching and for serving as director of the fellowship program as well as for improving the care of patients with hemoglobinopathies.
