Pledge to Practice
Practice primary care in Georgia.
≥0.5 full-time equivalent in an ambulatory setting
For a duration commensurate with the total award amount (1 award = 2 years of service; 2 awards = 3 years of service; 3 awards = 4 years of service; 4 awards = 5 years of service)
Application Process
The Spring 2023 Application Cycle opens on December 15, 2022.
The application cycle occurs twice each academic year, in the spring and fall, with 11-12 awardees each cycle.

Demonstrated interest and commitment to primary care practice
Demonstrated indebtedness or other financial need (formal or other financial obligations for SOM expenses, other non-SOM debt)
Attention to producing a diverse workforce for Georgia and inclusion of individuals who are under-represented in medicine
Geographic diversity in practice (underserved, rural, non-Metro)
Employer is non-profit, publicly held or has an explicit and stated mission of service
Representation of pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, and geriatrics
