Emory’s Primary Care Consortium supports the growth of high-functioning, interdisciplinary teams and rewards the contributions of our Primary Care faculty through promotion support. We’re also enhancing the pipeline of new primary care providers by supporting student-led interest groups such as Primary Care Progress, the Family Medicine Interest Group and Atlanta Interprofessional Student Hotspotting. We help sponsor Emory’s #ProudtobeGIM program, which is designed to provide general internal medicine (GIM) faculty with tools to encourage their students to think seriously about becoming primary care providers. We’ve sponsored campus visits by leading primary care visionaries such as Andrew Morris-Singer and Tom Bodenheimer. We also help sponsor the annual William T. Branch Innovations in Primary Care lectureship.
Emory also serves as a hub for research related to primary care through national grants transforming the way we care for patients and educate the next generation of primary care providers.
