The Emory 2022-2023 Application Cycle is open
CASAA (Centralized Application Service for Anesthesiologist Assistants) is the online application service for all Master’s level Anesthesiologist Assistant education programs in the US. Through CASAA, prospective students may use a single web-based application and one set of materials to apply to multiple programs. Please contact the program office at if you need additional assistance.
To begin application process:
- Read the program information provided. Many of your questions about general requirements and the Emory AA Program can be answered using the program website.
- Create an account in CASAA and submit a complete application
- Submit the Emory Supplemental Documents
- Complete the Casper evaluation
- Pay application fee and administrative fees accordingly
How to Apply
The Emory Master of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology process is comprised of an online application – CASAA–, a Personal Characteristics Assessment, the application and administrative fee, and supporting documents (see list below). Use the admissions calendar for application and interview information, and deadline dates (Admissions Calendar).
The information below outlines the items necessary to complete the application process:
- Complete the Common Anesthesiologist Assistant Application – CASAA–
- Safari and Chrome browsers recommended
- A non-refundable application fee of $160.00 is required (see fee chart in CASAA for additional submissions)
- Complete the Casper evaluation
- $40 USD to register for the Casper test and an additional $12 USD for each distribution.
- Altus Suite 2022-2023
- Reapplicants, follow instructions in CASAA and see the Emory reapplication tab.
- Three references uploaded to CASAA

The information below outlines items that should be sent directly to CASAA:
- Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions should be sent directly to CASAA for a full evaluation and verification. Consent is required for transcript evaluations in CASAA.
- The Emory AA Program GRE Designated Institution (DI) Code is 5692. Educational Testing Service (ETS) will transmit official GRE scores electronically to the Centralized Application Service for Anesthesiologist Assistants up to twice a week for all test takers who designate the program as a score recipient. Only official results will be accepted.If you have not taken the GRE, explore testing dates between April- September to assure receipt of official results and processing in CASAA or to retake and improve your score if necessary. Processing periods and terms are not regulated by the AA Program. Visit: https://www.ets.org/gre
- Official MCAT scores should be reported in CASAA and a copy of your official MCAT score report that includes your verification number should accompany your supporting documents.
- Complete and submit the Emory supplemental documents. A non-refundable $65.00 administrative fee will activate your Emory file. This fee is addition to the required CASAA and Casper fees. (Pay Fee)
- Double check the application information before submitting (use your updated transcript/s to complete your application). Do not guess or leave grade or hours received items incomplete (plus and minus status information is not required). Use IP for coursework that is in-progress during the application cycle. Incomplete applications will not be considered for review. All prerequisite courses and degree programs must be complete and reported on an official university transcript by the end of the summer semester prior to the program start date. - Academic programs and required pre-medical courses will be accepted from institutions that are regionally accredited. Please see the list of accepted Regional Institutions
- Academic programs and prerequisite courses may be in progress during the application cycle. Maximum (4) prerequisite classes in progress (2 or fewer) preferred.
- Students are welcome to take prerequisite coursework with accredited online programs and local technical and two - year institutions.
After you’ve completed your application
After the CASAA application, supplemental documents and fees are received and processed, applicants will begin receiving update notifications via email from the AA Program office regarding the status of your application. A list of the items received and processed will appear at the bottom of the items received list (some items may not be applicable to you…i.e., you only have one college transcript, TOEFL is not required, etc.).
