ArtRounds Exhibition and Celebration

The Inaugural ArtRounds Exhibition and Celebration, held on March 26, 2026, as part of Together We Thrive Week through the Emory University School of Medicine, brought the Emory at Grady community together through a dynamic showcase of visual art, live performance, and shared storytelling. Featuring original works across mediums alongside live poetry, dance, choral and musical performances, the event transformed shared space into an immersive gallery of lived experiences. Attendees moved through the exhibition engaging with artist statements, connecting across professional backgrounds, and pausing for moments of reflection and conversation.

Rooted in the belief that creative expression is essential to wellbeing, ArtRounds highlighted the depth, humanity, and resilience within our community by offering a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when space is created for expression, connection, and collective meaning-making. ArtRounds will return annually, continuing to build on this shared experience and expand opportunities for creative expression across the community.

New Micro-Market Now Open in the Faculty Office Building

We’re excited to share that a new self-service Micro-Market, in partnership with Georgia Vending Services, is now open on the first floor of the Faculty Office Building. Developed through the Emory Flourishing at Grady Program within the Dean’s Office, this initiative was created to expand convenient access to fresh food, snacks, and beverages for faculty, learners, APPs, and staff. The Micro-Market offers a modern, 24/7 grab-and-go experience featuring a variety of options, including healthier selections, designed to support busy schedules in a high-acuity environment.

Community members can explore the market at their convenience and provide feedback through the posted QR code near the kiosk. We look forward to continuing to evaluate the experience and learning how it can best serve the Emory at Grady community!

Five-Year COVID Commemoration: A Time to Remember, Reflect, and Connect

On March 7, 2025, the Emory School of Medicine at Grady and Morehouse School of Medicine at Grady co-hosted an event marking five years since the first diagnosed COVID patient at Grady Memorial Hospital. The program honored lives lost, reflected on challenges, and celebrated community resilience. A moment of silence and musical tributes set a reflective tone, with moving performances by Dr. Michael Frankel and the Emory at Grady Choir. Speakers from both institutions, including frontline clinicians and leaders, shared personal insights. The event highlighted shared sorrow and pain while reaffirming a continued spirit of collaboration, compassion, and innovation.
