2024 Winners Spotlight

Tracey Henry Medicine

Dr. Tracey Henry is a mentor to students from all backgrounds, underrepresented and majority, and she uses her strengths and skillset as a mentor and expert clinician to meet students where they are and extend compassion, grace, and encouragement to every student with whom she engages. She dedicates her time, energy, and personal resources to supporting Emory SOM students, particularly those who are navigating the world of medicine without an established network. Dr. Henry is a true advocacy career mentor for so many people. Her CV reflects the impressive equity and policy work she does, but she also does so much behind-the-scenes mentoring to cultivate this passion in trainees and teach them the skills to do this work impactfully. She has repeatedly been able to break through the fog of resident fatigue and cynicism to get them excited about making medicine a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable institution. Dr.  Henry has made an indelible mark on the lives of many students in the Emory SOM while making her impact known in different spheres, both in the clinical and academic space.
