Anesthesiologist Assistant Program

The Emory University Master of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology is a concentrated graduate medical education program in the Emory University School of Medicine. Leading the way for 50 years, the Program annually accepts qualified individuals who desire to undertake rigorous didactic and clinical education in order to become knowledgeable, skilled certified anesthetists. 

Our Mission

The Masters of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology at Emory University trains highly competent anesthetists who practice in the anesthesia care team model, providing a broad spectrum of anesthesia care to patients with all diseases and severities of illness. Graduates of the program are held to the highest standards of professionalism and service to patients and the community.

Our Vision

The Masters of Medical Science Program in Anesthesiology at Emory University will transform students into anesthetists through training focused on building a foundation of basic science and fundamental skills, and the judgment necessary for the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia. The Anesthesiologist Assistant Program emphasizes effective communication skills, scientific literacy, and a scholarly approach to life-long learning.

New Student Orientation Begins

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the high volume of applications that we receive each year, we strongly recommend that you submit your applications (both the CASAA and the Emory AA Supplemental application) EARLY. Early submission does not guarantee an interview or early consideration, but it does place your application in review earlier. Please also note that deadline extensions will not be granted. Keep in mind is that the application “season” begins 16 months prior to each year’s fall semester, so be sure to plan ahead. Applicants are welcome to be in progress with courses and academic programs during the application cycle.
