Acknowledgments
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery had its beginnings in 1939 at Grady Memorial Hospital. Following World War II, it became part of the Emory University School of Dentistry until 1991 when The Division was formed after joining the Department of Surgery. The program has graduated hundreds of residents resulting in a robust and supportive Alumni both local and distant. Many of the alumni continue to support the Division by participating in trauma call and supervising residents at Grady Memorial Hospital. Many also financially contribute to the Divisions Alumni fund to ensure support for both residents and future academic surgeons at Emory. Current Alumni include the following.
