Monica Agoston, PhD, ABPP, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Anesthesiology, Emory University School of Medicine, is the primary supervisor for the child/youth rotation inpatient pain consultation experience at CHOA. Dr. Agoston received her PhD degree in 2015 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her major interests include supporting pain management in pediatric inpatient settings as well as coping with injuries, surgery, and hospitalization. She currently conducts research on the relationship between pain and traumatic stress symptoms in patients experiencing unintentional injury.
Rachel Ammirati, PhD, ABPP, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is a supervisor at the Grady Adult HIV program and the Grady Integrated Behavioral Health Service. Dr. Ammirati received her PhD degree in 2013 from Emory University. Her interests include mental health services for underserved populations, behavioral health integration with medical care, and HIV behavioral health services.
Sarah Dunn, PhD, ABPP, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is a primary supervisor for the Grady Nia Project and coordinates and supervises adult psychological testing. She is also the supervising psychologist for the Grady Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service. Dr. Dunn received her PhD degree in 2009 from Georgia State University. Her major interests are in trauma-informed services for under-served populations, crisis intervention, forensic evaluations, and patient- and family-centered healthcare.
Eugene Farber, PhD, ABPP, Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Director of Psychology Internship Training, is a supervisor for the Grady Adult HIV Program and intern long-term psychotherapy cases. Dr. Farber received his PhD degree in 1990 from Georgia State University. His major interests are in the areas of integrated health care for underserved populations, HIV behavioral health services, relational psychodynamic theory, existential psychology, integrative psychotherapy, and psychology education and training.
Chanda Graves, PhD, ABPP, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is the Associate Director of Psychology Internship for the General Internship Experience, Coordinator of the General Psychology Seminar, and a primary supervisor in the Grady Pediatric HIV clinic. Dr. Graves received her PhD degree in 2008 from Howard University. Her major interests are in the areas of HIV behavioral health, pediatric psychology, and multicultural psychotherapy.
Nadine J. Kaslow, PhD, ABPP, Professor, Vice Chair for Faculty Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Chief Psychologist (Grady), Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Pediatrics and Psychology, is the primary supervisor for the adult rotation for the general track interns (Grady Nia Project, inpatient unit, crisis intervention service) and for the trauma track intern. She also supervises the following electives: research, advocacy, administration, and family therapy. Dr. Kaslow received her PhD degree in 1983 from the University of Houston. Her major interests are in culturally informed interventions for interpersonal violence and suicidal behavior, couple and family therapy, severe mental illness and personality disorders, integrationist approaches to psychotherapy, and competency-based approaches to education/training and supervision.
Dorian A. Lamis, PhD, ABPP, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is a supervisor at the Grady Behavioral Health Outpatient Center. He received his PhD degree in 2013 from the University of South Carolina. His major interests are in the areas of mood disorders, substance use, and suicidal behavior.
Erica Marshall-Lee, PhD, ABPP, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Clinical Director and the primary supervisor for the Grady Action in Recovery psychosocial rehabilitation program. She received her PhD degree in 2001 from the University of Mississippi. Her major interests are in the areas of serious and persistent mental health concerns, personality disorders, marginalized community mental and physical health disparities, education and training, and social justice advocacy informed mental and physical health.
Tomina Schwenke, PhD, ABPP, CI/CT, JM, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is the primary supervisor for the Law and Psychiatry (Forensics) Service. Dr. Schwenke received her PhD in 2012 from Georgia State University and a Juris Master degree in 2023 from the Emory University School of Law. She is a nationally certified sign language interpreter with a certification in mental health interpreting. Her major interests are in the areas of forensic psychology, competency to stand trial program development, jail diversion of defendants with mental illness, and advocacy for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the legal system.
Keith A. Wood, PhD, ABPP, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is a primary supervisor in the Grady Behavioral Health Outpatient Center. Dr. Wood received his PhD degree in 1976 from the University of Florida. His major interests are in chronic mental illness and emergency mental health.
