The Adult Psychoanalytic Training Program requires two years of classes and seminars beyond the two-year Core Curriculum. Candidates in this program are expected to enter into their own psychoanalysis with a Training Analyst on the faculty of the Institute, in order to learn about psychoanalysis experientially as well as to prepare for the challenges of analyzing their own patients. Candidates will be matched with a clinical mentor who usually becomes the supervisor of his or her first analytic patient.
