Course Description
A variety of common and challenging Genitourinary and Gynecologic Pathology cases will be discussed using a case based discussions approach, focused on difficult differential diagnoses and staging dilemmas. A summary of the latest diagnostic updates on the entities presented will be discussed.
Genitourinary program (one hour):
- Update on the latest ISUP and GUPS recommendations on the grading of prostatic adenocarcinoma
- Review of glandular lesions of the urinary bladder: benign mimickers, challenging differential diagnoses and common pitfalls
- Decoding pink tumors of the kidney: an algorithmic approach
- Updates on penile epithelial neoplasms: the latest WHO recommendations
Gynecologic Program (one hour):
- Benign changes (metaplasia, exogenous hormone effect, polyps) of the endometrium that mimic neoplasia
- Endometrioid intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN) practical approach to H&E diagnosis.
- Morphologic Spectrum of Endometrioid adenocarcinoma
- High grade carcinomas of the endometrium: classification, cytomorphology and immunohistochemistry
