Sally was born and raised in Decatur, GA. She attended Wesleyan University for her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Dance, where she developed her love for neurology investigating connections between neurological disease and the arts. She went to Boston University for medical school and spent time investigating genetic drivers of meningiomas and brain metastases in the Neuro-Oncology labs at MGH. Throughout her studies, she was consistently drawn to neurology for its complex and puzzling pathology as well as the opportunity to develop unique long-term relationships with patients. She has particular interest in neurodegenerative diseases and imagines a career specializing in Movement Disorders. She is very happy to have returned to the South, for both the weather and for the exceptional training and diverse patient population at Emory. In her spare time, she can be found baking, playing board games, or rock climbing.
