Eric was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago before moving to South Carolina in high school. He attended Emory University and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology where he first developed an interest in Neurology while conducting research on the neuroprotective effects of exercise on retinal degeneration. He attended University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville for his medical degree. Eric chose Emory for residency for the unique training opportunities Grady, Emory, and the Atlanta VA afford with their diverse pathology, practice environments, and extensive research opportunities, in addition to his love for the City of Atlanta. Currently Eric's subspecialty interests within neurology include neurocritical care and stroke. In his spare time Eric enjoys running, Chicago sports teams, biking the Beltline, and exploring new restaurants with his fiancée.
