Andrew was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, before moving to Athens, GA to attend the University of Georgia for undergraduate. After graduating with a bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology, he enrolled in medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While there, he participating in a longitudinal clinical curriculum that allowed him to provide longterm care for patients with a wide variety of neurological disorders. It was through this experience that his interest in a career in neurology was fostered. The opportunity to return to Georgia and train at a top academic neurology institution made Emory an obvious choice for him. His current interests are varied but include neuroimmunology, cognitive neurology, and movement disorders. In his free time, he likes to stay active by playing sports and rock climbing, but also enjoys cooking and following the local sports teams.
