Arjun grew up most of his life in Fairfax, Virginia and stayed at the University of Virginia for college where he majored in Cognitive Science/Neuroscience, solidifying his love for the brain. He spent some time after at Virginia Commonwealth University exploring the cellular plasticity that occurs in epilepsy using rat models, before deciding that he wanted to learn the true meaning of “cold” by attending medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Emory was the right choice for Arjun, given its leadership and position in the forefront of many sub-specialties in Neurology, the diverse patient population, the opportunity to explore varying healthcare systems (Grady, Emory, VA, Midtown), and the tremendous faculty and residents that he met during his interview. In his free time, Arjun loves to play basketball, work out, hike, learn new songs on his ukulele, and explore the burgeoning food scene in Atlanta (especially on Buford highway).
