Where do your graduates practice?
Half of our graduates have remained in academics, and half are practicing in community or private practices. More than half of our graduates are practicing in the Southeast region, although we have graduates all over the United States and other countries. Several of our faculty are former graduates of our program. We also have many graduates who are now on faculty at other academic institutions.
What do you look for in fellow candidates?
We evaluate the entire individual. We seek individuals with high ethical and personal standards as well as laudable achievements. We value diversity. In the end, we consider whether the program will enhance the career of the applicant and whether the applicant will add to the overall strength of the program.
Is your program accredited?
Yes, we have been a fully accredited ACGME program since 1987.
What is the call schedule?
The call schedule is spread evenly between both the 1st and 2nd years. Therefore, fellows are on call every 6th week. The call schedule is from Monday-Monday.
What is the fellow salary?
Salaries are determined according to institutional and federal guidelines. Fellow salaries can be found on Emory's GME Office website.
