Rahaman Ahmed is presently concluding his PhD program in Medical Genetics at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He focuses on characterizing and delineating molecular interactions of human B-Cell and T-Cell receptor repertoires in Nigeria towards the development of efficacious and mosaic HIV vaccine.
Program Experience:
The didactic courses; the guidance of local and international mentors; opportunities for international scientific collaborations; as well as the support for cutting edge research, which Emory-Nigeria Research Training Program (EN-RTP) offers, has equipped him with requisite skills and opportunities to develop as an independent investigator in HIV clinical science and other health translational research. Mr. Ahmed recently co-authored a paper in a Nature Journal and got developing feedback from the Vanderbilt-Emory-Cornell-Duke (VECD) Global Health Fellowship application.
