I am currently interested in the reproductive health of women living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and the use of metagenomic techniques and bioinformatics tools in disease mapping.
Program Experience:
As an early career researcher, the mentored research training provided me with the opportunity of participating in didactic courses at the Emory Laney Graduate school while working together and networking with professionals. The mentorship program provides opportunity of mentorship guidance by both in-country and US-mentors to facilitate my professional and career development. Since joining the program as an EN-RTP long-term trainee 2020, I have obtained both intramural and external grants and recently won the Institut Mérieux Young Investor award for fighting against antimicrobial resistance and improving antimicrobial stewardship. Thanks to EN-RTP leadership for this opportunity.
