Encouraging small, personalized dietary changes that lead to better health

“Our goal is to increase research projects at the Seavey Clinic that are policy-relevant and involve interventions in real-world settings.”

Seavey Clinic research moves modern medicine forward, and our provider faculty lead this research. Because patient care is their top priority, they receive needed support from Dr. Miranda Moore, a health services researcher. She helps them design, execute, and disseminate research projects.

An assistant professor at Emory School of Medicine, Dr. Moore serves as a research champion and evaluator at the Seavey Clinic. She brainstorms with faculty about their interests and helps them build out their ideas. She advises them on metrics. She recommends national conferences for presentation and journals for publication. “There are so many projects ripe for dissemination through peer-reviewed journals,” she says. “It’s a great partnership.”

Research requires funding, and Dr. Moore knows the ins and outs of applying for grants. The Seavey Clinic team has a history of receiving research funding.
