After completing her medical degree at Siddhartha Medical College, Nikhila Gandrakota received an MPH in Epidemiology from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at Emory as the program’s first research track resident. She chose to pursue additional training in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine because: “Preventive medicine allows me to address health concerns proactively, focusing on primary prevention, lifestyle medicine, and the management of chronic diseases. The excellent faculty, research opportunities, and diverse patient population at Emory Family Medicine made it my top choice for residency. I am excited to advance my career through a fellowship in preventive medicine at Emory. My passion for primary care, lifestyle medicine, and chronic disease management drives my commitment to promoting health and well-being through proactive and comprehensive patient care.”
