Radhika Agarwal grew up in Michigan, California, and Bangalore, India. She completed medical school at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and her Family Medicine residency at AMITA Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She has an interest in health equity, social determinants of health, chronic disease prevention, and learning about how to approach chronic diseases from a population perspective. 

Kunal Doshi is originally from Southern California. He discovered an interest in public health while engaging in global health projects at his undergraduate institution. This led him to pursue a MPH at The George Washington University focusing on climate and environmental health. After receiving his MPH, he went on to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Family Medicine at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. His interests in preventive medicine are broad and include environmental health, toxicology, chronic disease prevention, lifestyle medicine, and health policy.

Annie Rouza is originally from Haiti. She has called Miami, Florida home for the past decade. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Cornell College and her medical degree from Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. After completing her internship year at Prisma Health Richland’s Obstetrics/Gynecology residency program, she obtained an MPH degree at Baylor University. Her interests within the preventive medicine/public health field include chronic disease prevention, women’s health and reproductive rights, social determinants of health, and social justice in healthcare delivery.

Hari Athreya is originally from San Antonio, Texas. He completed his medical degree and MPH at the University of Texas Science Center at Houston, and his Family Medicine residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He practices primary care and population health at Iora Health in Atlanta.

Originally from Utah, Sarah Dupont earned her MD from Emory School of Medicine for her MD and her MPH from Rollins School of Public Health. She completed residencies in Family Medine and Preventive Medicine at Emory. In 2022, she joined the Emory faculty as an Assistant Professor in the division of Family Medicine.

Ronak D. Ghiya obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Wright State University and Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor Scott & White in Austin, TX. He practices primary care in Austin, Texas. 

Alexander Paras is originally from San Diego, CA. Alex is a graduate of San Diego State University, Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health, and Western University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP). He completed a transitional year internship at Chino Valley Medical Center (CA); served as an active duty medical officer as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force (USAF) from 2013- 2020; and has now transitioned to the USAF Reserves. He practices primary care at the Nebraska VA. 

Melissa Taylor is originally from Denver, Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and majored in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. After graduating she spent a year in AmeriCorps working as a Healthcare Navigator for an FQHC in rural Colorado serving predominately uninsured, underinsured, and undocumented patients. She attended Emory University School of Medicine in the dual MD/MPH program with a focus on epidemiology, specifically cancer, and social epidemiology. She also completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Emory. She is currently enrolled in the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at Yale School of Medicine.

Chioma Erondu, MD, MPH received her MD from Duke University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. She pursued interests in public health and preventive medicine during her OB/GYN residency and also participated in a rotation at HHS’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality that was sponsored by the Association for Prevention Teach and Research. After completing her residency in Preventive Medicine at Emory, Dr. Erondu joined Kaiser Permanente as an OB/GYN.

Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, the Baylor College of Medicine, and the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health.  Dr. Kudrath previously completed a Preliminary Year internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned the academic honor of high distinction and membership in Phi Beta Kappa, and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. McKenna previously completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago.

Graduate of Cornell University and the Uniformed Services University of Health Science. An active-duty officer in the U.S. Air Force and board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. McKinney holds the rank of Lieutenant colonel and previously served as a staff pediatrician since 2011 and more recently served as Outpatient Medical Director and Deputy Flight Commander of Travis Pediatric Clinic, Travis AFB, California.

Muñiz-Hernandez is a Magna cum laude graduate of Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic. 

Board-certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Muñiz-Hernandez completed a Pediatrics Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Elmhurst), New York City, in 2017 and then served as Chief Resident of that program (2017-2018).

Sara Turbow, MD, MPH: Dr. Turbow earned her baccalaureate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and her MD and MPH (concentration in Epidemiology) degrees from Emory University’s School of Medicine and Rollins School of Public Health, respectively. She also completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, she is an Associate Professor in Emory’s Department of Medicine and has joined the faculty of the Emory Preventive Medicine Residency Program as Associate Residency Program Director.

Graduate of Brown University, the Boston University School of Medicine, and the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Valenciano previously completed a residency in Internal Medicine Primary Care at the Yale-New Haven Hospital and training in applied epidemiology in bacterial respiratory disease issues in CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service Program. She is CEO/District Health Director of the DeKalb County Board of Health. Dr. Valenciano also serves as an adjunct assistant professor for the division. 

Dr. Graciaa earned his MD at Emory University School of Medicine and his MPH at Rollins School of Public Health (2014). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine (2017) and his residency in preventive medicine (2018). Dr. Graciaa completed his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Emory School of Medicine and joins the Department of Infectious Diseases as an Assistant Professor in September 2021.

Dr. Rabold earned her MD from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (2012). She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh (2016) and her residency in public health and preventive medicine at Emory University (2019). She joined the CDC as a medical officer in the Maternal and Child Health Branch, Division of Global HIV and ATB.

Dr. Javier Valle received his MD from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico and his MPH in Epidemiology from the Emory Rollins School of Public Health. He completed his residency training in Preventive Medicine at Emory. Dr. Valle has experience in developing patient curricula in nutrition, physical activity, and a healthy mindset for change. He also integrated medical students, residents, and physician assistant students in the Lifestyle Clinic at Emory as part of an immersive educational experience in lifestyle medicine. His academic interests include lifestyle medicine curriculum evaluation for learners and healthcare quality improvement and innovation. Following residency, Dr. Valle completed a fellowship in healthcare quality improvement at the VA Quality Scholars Fellowship Program, where he applied quality improvement methods toward implementing lifestyle medicine interventions for Veterans. He is currently the Medical Director for Emory Occupational Health Services.
