The VISION program utilizes state-of-the-art virtual and augmented reality technologies in concert with high-precision motion analysis to investigate human perception, action and ultimately performance in sports. The VISION in SPARC provides an unprecedented level of simulation realism as well as the ability to quantify performance with incredible precision. Using cutting edge techniques, the VISION lab simulates the experience of realistic on-field play while maintaining a controlled laboratory environment. Our innovative free ambulatory competition scenarios provide fully immersive sports scenarios that allow us to understand the mechanics of injury to guide prevention strategies via real-time biofeedback training to at-risk individuals. This program is continuously informed and improved by the advanced work in neuroscience also taking place within SPARC.
