Emory University Hospital Midtown is a 511-bed community-based, acute care teaching facility located in Midtown Atlanta. The hospital is staffed by 600 Emory medical faculty and 800 community physicians. Resident experience at EUHM centers around Emory’s Orthopaedic Oncology service, comprised of two fellowship trained musculoskeletal oncologists, and, beginning in 2008, one musculoskeletal oncology fellow. Residents rotate on the service as a PGY-2 and share clinical responsibilities with a PGY-4 resident from Atlanta Medical Center. Call is 1:4 and combined with coverage of the Atlanta VA Medical Center. All call is from home.
