Overview
Dr. Bangalore currently serves as a Staff Geriatrician in the Geriatric primary care/Special population PACT Clinic at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. She works with geriatrics trained providers and staff to help address the needs of older veterans. Dr. Bangalore also works at the Cognitive disorders Clinic and CLC at the Atllanta VA Medical Center. Dr. Bangalore also worked as a Staff Geriatrician at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Tyler, Texas.
Dr. Bangalore graduated from JSS Medical College, Mysore, India and completed residency in Family Medicine at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and Fellowship in Geriatrics and Faculty Development at the East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina.

Focus
- Conducted patient screening and interviews in a study to determine the efficacy and safety of ST1571 in patients with Chronic Myleiod Leukemia in Blast Crisis under the supervision of Dr. Brian Druker. This study culminated in the development of FDA-approved pill Glivec. Research in the Emergency Medicine Service included data analysis for a retrospective evaluation of patient outcome associated with normal, mildly elevated, and clearly abnormal Troponin I levels and clinical utility of Arterial and Venous blood gases.
