Genetic Nutrition Online Metabolic Listserv (GNO-METAB-L) for Genetic Metabolic Dietitian Nutritionists-GNO-METAB-L (formerly known as PNO-METAB-L) was created in 1998 under the auspices of grant money allocated by the Southeastern Regional Genetics Group (SERGG). The purpose of the listserv is to facilitate communication among genetic metabolic dietitian nutritionists in the hope of fostering professional development, as well as improving the delivery of nutrition care to the inherited metabolic disorders (IMD)/ inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) patient population. It is expected to be used as a global resource for dietitians seeking advice regarding the medical nutrition therapy of patients with IMD/IEM. The listserv subscription is free of charge.

Electronic Genetic Nutrition Academy (eGNA) is a web-based system created in 2017 that consists of free educational modules with the goal of increasing global clinical and nutritional management knowledge about inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) among genetic metabolic dietitians and other health professionals and translate this knowledge to inform patient care. Currently, Case Conferences, Journal Clubs, and Medical Commentaries are offered 3 times a year. Registration is required. - eGNA’s Genetic Nutrition ECHO (Project ECHO)
Our eGNA team is expanding case-based learning using Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), an all-teach-all-learn collaborative model to enhance medical education and care management by linking local providers with specialist care teams and to deliver quality treatment to patients with genetic nutrition disorders. By the end of 2020, we will launch a case-based virtual learning program to telementor genetic metabolic providers. The cost is free.
