  • For Faculty and Staff: Moving into HSRB II

Welcoming our team to Emory’s Health Sciences Research Building II

We look forward to welcoming faculty and staff into our second Health Sciences Research Building (HSRB II). If you are among the future occupants of this building, keep reading for important information.

Timeline and process for future building occupants

A phased move-in process will begin after a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) has been issued for the building. We expect to receive the CO in the coming weeks (Jan. 2023). Additional work inside the building will continue during this timeframe and after the CO is received (for example, installation of additional items to support equipment moves). This work may impact the phased move-in dates. We will communicate any necessary adjustments to move dates as quickly as possible to the move coordinator/s.

Timeline and process for core facilities and research support

Research support and Core Facilities are anticipated to begin moving into the building after the Certificate of Occupancy is received, with core services expected to be available as indicated below. Keep in mind these dates could change due to equipment deliveries or other delays. If you have questions about specific core services, contact the relevant core director (find links to all core websites) or email the cores.

  • Late January/early February, 2023: Division of Animal Resources (DAR). Find more move-in details and FAQs on the DAR website.
  • February 2023:
    • Center for Systems Imaging/Radiopharmacy Core
    • Integrated Cellular Imaging Core
    • Flow Cytometry Core
    • Integrated Genomics Core
    • Integrated Computational Core
  • TBD 2023:
    • Biorepository
    • Integrated Metabolomics and Lipidomics Core
    • 3-D Print/Micromachining
    • XR/Virtual Reality

Move Coordination

Each lab or group moving into the building has identified a Move Coordinator. The Move Coordinator will manage all logistics of the move for their group, working closely with the School of Medicine Space and Facilities team. If you will be moving into the building and you're unsure who will be managing your move, email Mary Clements at mary.clements@emory.edu.

The School of Medicine Space and Facilities Administration team will communicate specific details and timing to the Move Coordinators, who will be responsible for sharing that information with their groups.

  • Key contacts on the Space and Facilities team for moving and operational support:
